Efunds adds Ángel Cabrera to board of directors

eFunds Corporation (NYSE:EFD), the company that delivers innovative payment processing and information intelligence solutions, today announced that Dr Ángel Cabrera, president and chief executive officer of Thunderbird, The Garvin School of International Management, has joined the company's board of directors.

Dr Cabrera will bring to eFunds the same leadership that guides Thunderbird as the world leader in global management education.

"Dr Cabrera's global expertise, strong commitment to excellence and proven track record of championing strategic initiatives for multi-national institutions will be an invaluable addition to eFunds' board of directors," said Paul Walsh, chairman and chief executive officer of eFunds. With over 10 years of global leadership experience, Dr Cabrera serves as president and chief executive officer of Thunderbird, The Garvin School of International Management, where he recently led a restructuring and repositioning campaign, including the launch of new programs and execution of strategic partnerships that resulted in increased revenues and recognition for the University. Thunderbird is ranked number one in international business by US News and World Report and the Wall Street Journal survey of corporate recruiters.

Prior to this position, Dr. Cabrera was the youngest dean in the history of Instituto de Empresa, one of Europe's top graduate schools, where he began his career as a professor of organizational behavior. Dr Cabrera has taught many graduate programs, published several papers in noted journals, and consulted with multiple organizations, both independently, and as a manager with Accenture.

Named a "Global Leader for Tomorrow" by the World Economic Forum and an appointee to the founding class of the Forum of Young Global Leaders, Dr Cabrera was featured in BusinessWeek's "25 Stars of Europe." Dr Cabrera acts as an advisor to several organizations including: the Georgia Institute of Technology, ESSEC Business School, the United Nations Global Compact, the Iberoamerican Academy of Management, the Greater Phoenix Leadership, Arizona Governor's P-20 Council and the Future Trends Forum in Madrid. As a Fulbright Scholar recipient, Dr Cabrera earned his Ph.D. and M.S. degrees in psychology and cognitive science from the Georgia Institute of Technology. Dr Cabrera also holds a master's degree in computer and electrical engineering from Madrid Polytechnical University.
