BNP Paribas, one of the top 15 world-wide banking groups, has selected the Reuters Tick Capture Engine (RTCE) for quantitative research and real-time trading analytics on global fixed income markets starting in London and New York.
BNP Paribas will use the Reuters Tick Capture Engine to analyse fixed income markets in real-time for trading opportunities and publish trading analytics to auto-trading applications and traders over Reuters Market Data System. Integrated with Reuters and BNP Paribas price generator software and market adaptors, RTCE also collects and stores real-time tick-by-tick market data for quantitative research and fixed income pricing at BNP Paribas.
Powered by Vhayu Technology, RTCE is the leading platform for cross-asset tick capture and real-time analysis used throughout the trading cycle to provide fast and consistent trading analytics. RTCE is fully integrated with Reuters Market Data System (RMDS) and Reuters content including Reuters DataScope Tick History for 10 years of cross asset, tick-by-tick data. Reuters Tick Capture Engine runs on the powerful and scalable Intel Xeon processor-based server platform.
Emmanuel Colson, Reuters Global Business Director for BNP Paribas, said: "Xavier and the whole fixed income team at BNP Paribas set the bar high for us. The key to winning this business was the openness of the Reuters Tick Capture Engine for content, analytics and publishing, as well as pre-integrated support for key tools such as Microsoft Excel, Matlab and S-Plus. Of course performance, reliability and integration with Open DACS, to prevent data infringements, were non-negotiable as well. We are delighted to continue our deep relationship with BNP Paribas."
Xavier Pujos, Deputy Chief Operating Officer, BNP Paribas Fixed Income, said: "BNP Paribas is a proven player in the global fixed income markets. We have aggressive plans to maintain our leadership position by applying sophisticated modelling and analysis to value fixed income products, uncover trading opportunities and widen our adoption of electronic fixed income trading. Reuters Tick Capture Engine is an important component of those plans enabling us to persist intra-day market data and model new trading strategies using RTCE's high performance analytics engine."
