Accuity, a leading worldwide provider of financial data, software and services, announced that it has added Euro Banking Association (EBA) clearing systems data to its products.
Accuity has responded to an initiative of the EBA by presenting SWIFT/BIC financial institutions data associated with the various EBA clearing systems and incorporating it into Global Payment File-Plus (GPF-Plus) by Accuity and The Global Banking Resource (TGBR).
"As a significant portion of our customers process payments to, from or through the European Union, presenting the specific SWIFT/BICs associated with the respective EBA clearing systems in both TGBR and GPF-Plus facilitates their transactions," said David Leverenz, director of product management and development for Accuity. "With updates of critical payments data by our team of global editorial professionals, Accuity customers are assured the most accurate and up-to-date information available for European payment standards. This is another example of how Accuity presents payment-specific data to our customers in order to allow them to achieve optimal payment STP rates."
The EBA plays a major role in the financial industry as a developer of European payment infrastructures. The initiation and development of cost-effective and efficient euro clearing systems are core activities of the association and have led to the creation of Europe's leading private large-value clearing system, EURO1, the commercial payment system STEP1 and the first PE-ACH (pan-European automated clearing house), STEP2.
Accuity's TGBR contains detailed information on over 500,000 financial institution locations throughout the world including Euro SSIs, U.S. Fedwire and ACH status, payment department contact details, e-mail and Web site addresses, physical addresses, officers and more. GPF-Plus by Accuity provides information on financial institutions in over 200 countries including head office and branch mailing addresses, department-specific contact information, SWIFT/BICs and bank routing codes—everything needed to process payments.
All information included in GPF-Plus and TGBR is obtained directly from official sources including financial institutions and bank clearing code-issuing authorities. By including this additional EBA data, Accuity continues to demonstrate its commitment to providing customers with solutions they need to process various types of payments.
