Cashbox appoints John Maples non-executive director

Cashbox PLC (AIM: CBOX), the AIM listed independent ATM deployer and operator, is pleased to announce that it has strengthened its Board of Directors with the appointment of John Maples MP as a Non-Executive Director.

John brings with him a wealth of business experience relevant to Cashbox, including a tenure as Chairman of ATM operator Bank Machine Ltd from 2003 until it was acquired by Cardtronics Inc in 2005.

Mr Maples first became a Member of Parliament for the Conservative Party in 1983 and was a Treasury Minister in the governments of both Margaret Thatcher and John Major. He has also been Deputy Chairman of the Conservative Party, Shadow Foreign Secretary and Shadow Secretary of State for Health and Defence. He is currently the Member of Parliament for Stratford-on-Avon and a Member of the Foreign Affairs Select Committee.
