FIX Protocol Limited (FPL) is proud to announce that Tayloe Draughon, Vice President of E-Trading IT Strategy at Calyon Financial, has been elected as the FPL Global Derivatives Committee Co-Chair. Within this position, Mr. Draughon will work closely with Co-Chair John Munro of Rolfe & Nolan to continue to promote the application of electronic trading and the adoption of the industry driven FIX Protocol standard within the derivative markets.

Within his current position at Calyon Financial, Mr. Draughon is responsible for the strategic development of the organisation's front office electronic trading and order processing capabilities. Prior to joining Calyon Financial, he served as Vice President in the Strategic Solutions Group and as Manager of e-Trading Development for Cargill Investor Services. Additionally, his previous experience includes founding a successful trading software venture where he led the development of industry-leading order routing and strategy trading systems for exchanges, brokerages and proprietary trading firms throughout the United States and Europe.

Commenting on his recent election Mr. Draughon stated, "This is a very exciting time for the global derivatives market as it continues to expand in both popularity and complexity. In recent years, we have witnessed the substantial benefits that electronic trading and the FIX Protocol have brought to the equity markets, and the spread of such practices within the derivatives field presents many opportunities to the community. I am delighted to be elected as FPL Global Derivative Co-Chair, and I hope to utilise my industry experience to ensure that the protocol continues to evolve in a manner that addresses the needs of the industry."

John Munro, FPL Global Derivatives Committee Co-Chair added, "We welcome Tayloe to his new position within FPL and I look forward to working with him to continue to encourage the global adoption of the FIX Protocol within the derivatives space. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank his predecessor, Jim Northey of the LaSalle Technology Group for his many contributions to the committee; I am very pleased that Jim will remain an active participant and contributor within the FPL community."

Scott Atwell of American Century Investments and FPL Global Steering Committee Co-Chair stated, "I am very happy that Tayloe has taken on this important leadership position. We shoulld recognise his predecessor, Jim Northey, who in 1999 assumed leadership of the FIX Futures and Options Working Group. In 2003 this working group was elevated and became the Global Derivatives Committee. Jim has tirelessly served as a cornerstone in the development and advancement of FIX for listed derivatives as well as overall technology efforts over the last seven years."
