Financial Objects names Karim Peermohamed CEO

The Board of Financial Objects plc, an international supplier of software solutions to the banking, wealth management and energy sectors, (AIM: FIO), is pleased to announce the appointment of Karim Peermohamed as Chief Executive Officer, with effect from January 1 2007.

Karim, who joined the Company in 1997 as head of operations in North America, is currently Chief Operating Officer; he will take over the role of CEO from Roger Foster. Roger, who founded the company in 1996, and is currently Chairman and CEO, will remain as Chairman on a part time basis.

Roger Foster commented: "I am personally delighted to announce Karim's appointment as CEO. Karim has made a major contribution to the Group's development and played a vital role in the successful acquisition of both WMS and Raft International. I look forward to working alongside Karim as we continue to build on our market leading positions in our chosen sectors."
