Today, Mercury Interactive Corporation , the global leader in business technology optimization (BTO) software, announced that The Rabobank Group, a global provider of financial services, selected Mercury BTO Enterprise, the industry's first integrated suite of BTO offerings designed to help customers optimize the business outcomes of IT, to help optimize efficiency, and improve the level of service to its customers while increasing profits.

Rabobank is owned by about 200 local banks which provide financial services and products to the Dutch retail and business markets. In its Dutch home market, Rabobank Group has approximately 1.5 million members, nine million business and private customers and is market leader in virtually every area of financial services. Outside the Netherlands, the Group has 244 offices in 37 countries.

Rabobank Group's ambition is to be the largest and most innovative all- finance service provider in the Netherlands. Rabobank's IT group has embarked on an initiative to professionalize its services and improve efficiency. As a long-time user of MercuryTestDirector and Mercury LoadRunner for quality and performance testing, Rabobank selected Mercury Quality Center, Mercury Performance Center and Mercury Business Availability Center, all strategic parts of Mercury BTO Enterprise, to help them manage quality and performance throughout the application lifecycle.

The combination of Mercury Quality Center, Mercury Performance Center and Mercury Business Availability Center helps Rabobank verify that application performance will meet business requirements and mitigate the risk and cost of application downtime. These offerings help Rabobank test, diagnose and manage application performance from pre-production through production. The integrations between Mercury Quality Center, Mercury Performance Center and Mercury Business Availability Center help Rabobank increase efficiency by sharing assets, testing scripts and real-user production data between them.

"For Rabobank in general and the test center in particular, Mercury offers important advantages. Specifically, Mercury's offerings allow us to professionalize our services, attain better management and improve efficiency encompassing various projects, programs and departments," said Margreet Oostenbrink, manager test center Rabobank Group. "For a company like The Rabobank, this is important because it allows us to improve the service to our clients and increase our profits at the same time."
