actant today announced the opening of a new office in San Francisco which will be the company’s regional operational center for the west coast of the US. The office will act as the support base for actant's customers on the Pacific Exchange's PCX Plus service as well as other electronic exchanges traded by users in the region.

Joshua Hodge, managing director of actant North America commented, "Since we launched our service on PCX Plus we have had a very positive response from the exchange's membership and our customer base on PCX Plus is growing fast. It has therefore become essential to have a strong presence of experienced actant staff locally to support this growth and also existing Bay Area users trading on other US exchanges."

Urs Rutschmann, ceo of actant added, "The expansion of our US offices reflects the growth of our business regionally and actant’s commitment to invest in the people and infrastructure necessary to support that business. With our regional centers in New York, Chicago and San Francisco, and soon Philadelphia, we can now support floor-based and off-floor derivative traders throughout the US from local centers."
