Global asset management company Schroders, with £122.3 billion under management as at 30 June 2006, has chosen SimCorp Dimension to act as its portfolio book of record for its UK and USA Operations that are based in London.
The selection was made after a very thorough selection process, which included the use of external consultants.
"After a review of the market, we felt that the SimCorp Dimension system will give us the flexibility we need for our current and future needs," said Matthew Oakeley, Head of Group IT at Schroders. "It provides us with a modern back office platform to take us forward for the long-term."
Other aspects that particularly attracted Schroders to SimCorp were its systems development ethos and the way that it manages the product. Schroders also felt that the SimCorp Dimension system would provide the best support for derivative instruments.
