SunGard elects James Mann to board of directors
SunGard, a global leader in integrated software and processing solutions and the pioneer and leading provider of information availability services, announced today that James L. Mann was elected to SunGard's board of directors.

With this appointment, SunGard's board is now comprised of nine directors.
Mr. Mann, age 72, served as chairman of the board of directors of SunGard from 1987 to August 11, 2005 when the Company was purchased by a consortium of private equity firms and director from 1983 to 1986. Mr. Mann was SunGard's chief executive officer from 1986 to 2002, president from 1986 to 2000, chief operating officer from 1983 to 1985, and has remained an employee of SunGard since the acquisition on August 11, 2005. Mr. Mann has been a director of athenahealth, Inc. since May 2006.
