The appointments follow the company's increased demand for its online trading platform, Global Vision, across the European region and its move into new sectors and markets across Europe and North America.

In his new role, Bannerton's main responsibility will be to assist client satisfaction and to further strengthen partner relationships. In addition, he will be responsible for identifying and implementing new strategic business opportunities within global accounts.

Fricker's appointment reflects the surge in interest from the financial sector for electronic trading systems within banks, interdealer brokers and hedge funds. His role is to capitalize on this trend and help make Global Vision the electronic trading platform of choice for institutions trading in cross product markets.

"This is an exciting time for Trayport. We are adding more members to our sales team as part of our current drive for growth," says Elliott Piggott, Commercial Director at Trayport. "Both Bannerton and Fricker have the ability to engage top-level business and technology clients and partners. We expect that their solid knowledge of the financial markets will contribute to further success in a competitive marketplace."

Prior to joining Trayport, Fricker was Group Sales Director at Lombard Risk Systems where he was responsible for global sales of all products to financial institutions. Previous he had been European Sales Manager at Thomson Financial Services and then joined Sungard, in charge of UK risk management product sales. Fricker holds a degree in Economics and History and enjoys skiing, sailing, cycling and chess in his free time.

Bannerton has held Business Development and Account Managements posts at IMVS plc, interactive investor international (iii) and FAME/LSD Software. He has been responsible for all facets of e-commerce, specialising in electronic trading and STP having launched the Stocktrade (part of Brewin Dolphin) system in 1998. He has studied accountancy and enjoys scuba diving, rugby, water skiing and reading.
