Peppercoin today announced that Mark W. Treco has joined the company as vice president of sales and market development.
Treco will draw on 20 years of sales experience in the retail payments industry to continue the growth of Peppercoin's customer base, particularly with physical point-of-sale merchants.
"Mark Treco has spent almost two decades helping retailers determine how to best utilize integrated payment technologies to increase their revenues and market share," said Mark Friedman, president and CEO of Peppercoin. "He will be crucial to strengthening merchant adoption of Peppercoin's innovative suite of technology, which continues to gain market momentum by helping merchants boost customer loyalty and reduce card transaction costs."
Treco worked in sales leadership positions for more than 13 years at VeriFone, a secure electronic payments company. At VeriFone, where he was most recently general manager of the retail division, Treco sold integrated payment technology to the top 300 retail chains in the United States, repeatedly surpassing sales goals and successfully negotiating contracts for payment solutions.
Previously, Treco worked at Fujitsu Transaction Solutions Inc., a provider of retail point-of-sale systems, where he developed new business opportunities in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions. While there, Treco led sales campaigns for targeted national accounts.
