Barclays Wealth Management appoints Farzan Riza COO, UK Private Bank and Gerrard

Barclays Wealth Management is pleased to announce the appointment Farzan Riza as Chief Operating Officer for its High Net Worth and Affluent business in the UK supporting the UK Private Bank and Gerrard.

He will report to Mark Kibblewhite, Managing Director and will provide senior support to the management team focussing on driving the business forward in line with its expansion strategy.

Mr Riza joins from Citigroup Global Investment Management, where he was Managing Director. He joined Citigroup in 1999 and worked in several areas across the business, most recently as Global Head of Strategic Planning for Citigroup Asset Management and as Chief of Staff to the Chairman and CEO of Citigroup Global Investment Management. A graduate of Harvard University and Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Mr Riza enjoyed an early career as a management consultant with Booz Allen & Hamilton.

Barclays Wealth Management has made a number of key appointments since the beginning of the year. In Gerrard these include Nimrod Schwarzmann, Regional Director London, Mark Little, Regional Director Scotland and Mark Wareing Regional Director the North. Other recent appointments across Barclays Wealth Management include Jeremy Arnold, Head of Wealth Advisory and Kevin Lecocq Head of the Investment and Product Office.
