Generated Systems, a leading provider of innovative software solutions for banks, today announced that Union Bank of California N.A., among the top 25 banks in the United States with assets of $48.8 billion, selected Generated Systems' CING product to automate the transfer of reports and data files over the internet.

Union Bank selected CING to securely provide line-at-a-time access to Union Bank's Web cash management system. The product gives Union Bank's treasury workstation customers a scripted connection which automatically connects to Union Bank's Web cash management system to automate the download of data formats and standard reports.

"We selected Generated Systems' CING because it enables our customers to have real-time interface with our Web cash management system and ensures that our customers will continue to receive their scripted data downloads after x.25 communications is retired," said Alice Reardon, Vice President and Senior Product Manager at Union Bank. "We feel that CING is an ideal application for our customers because the program enables them to automate their data retrieval plus facilitate data selection by account, type code and date. Generated Systems is an ideal partner in this effort because of their expertise, knowledge of cash management and exceptional customer support."

Union Bank plans to market CING as their automated file delivery product. The system will be available for all of their Information Reporting customers and will be installed prior to the retirement of x.25 communications to ensure that their customers will have continued automated retrieval access for their data files and reports.

"We are pleased that Union Bank entrusted us with implementing CING as a solution to transfer their customers BAI data," said Edward J. Gainer, President and Co-founder of Generated Systems.

"CING is the perfect product to transition from costly x.25 communications to internet accessibility. CING will give Union Bank a competitive advantage because it highlights their Web cash management system and offers their customers choices on how to import the information with a user-friendly interface."
