Tullett Prebon names John Del Vecchio CIO

Tullett Prebon, the inter-dealer broker, today announces the appointment of John Del Vecchio as Chief Information Officer.

Del Vecchio was previously Chief Technology Officer for Tullett Prebon North America and has been at Tullett Prebon (and previously Tullett Liberty) for six years. He took a lead role in the integration of the Liberty brokerage following its acquisition by Tullett & Tokyo in January 2000. He also directed the effort to bring the New York office back to operational status after September 11th 2001. Post September 11th, Del Vecchio led the design and implementation of two contingency sites.

He has thirty one years of experience in the technology industry, including a variety of technical support and managerial roles at AT&T, JP Morgan and Merrill Lynch.

He will head the Global Technology Management team, reporting to CEO Lou Scotto. His responsibilities will include: technology strategy and architecture, infrastructure support, trading and financial systems architecture and development, analytics, electronic trading and real estate planning.
