LaSalle Bank renews First Data ATM and card services contract

Electronic commerce and payments leader First Data Corp. (NYSE: FDC) today announced it has renewed its agreement to provide STAR Network access and signature debit processing for its more than one million cardholders of LaSalle Bank Corporation.

The agreement names STAR Network as LaSalle Bank's primary ATM network in the United States.

As a coast-to-coast electronic payments network and an expert in secure, real-time electronic transactions, the STAR Network connects LaSalle Bank's U.S. customers with their cash at ATM and retail locations, as well as provides access to various national and international ATM and point-of-sale networks. The STAR Network serves more than 5,700 financial institutions across the United States and provides cardholders with account access at approximately 1.9 million ATM and retail locations. There are more than 140 million cards carrying the STAR logo.

First Data also provides the bank with global merchant processing and its Official Check product in the United States through Integrated Payment Systems, a wholly owned First Data subsidiary.
