Iris Financial appoints Richard Vanderdrift VP, product architecture

Iris Financial Solutions, provider of front- and middle-office solutions to the world's leading trading and investment firms, today announced that former Oracle senior technology executive Richard Vanderdrift has been named vice president of product architecture.
"Richard brings to Iris 30 years of world-class technology leadership, including positions at some of the industry's most important and innovative businesses," said Michele McGovern, CEO, Iris Financial Solutions. "In particular, Richard's experience building enterprise-scale, highly configurable solutions will be of huge benefit to our customers as they come to Iris for software solutions that let them seize new competitive market opportunities quickly. Richard is a world-class architect who can bring a new approach to the financial services industry, allowing Iris customers to gain competitive advantage through our software solutions. We're thrilled to have him on the Iris team."
Most recently, Vanderdrift was founder and chief technology officer of Kahootz, a Silicon Valley start-up that develops a web services application for B2B collaboration. Prior to Kahaootz, Vanderdrift was senior vice president and chief architect for TenFold Corporation, a publicly traded developer of a breakthrough rapid application development platform for multiple vertical industries, including financial services.
Vanderdrift was vice president of applications development at Oracle, where he served on Oracle chairman and founder Larry Ellison's Architecture Committee. While at Oracle, he held significant responsibility for launching the first high-end, relational and configurable cross-industry application suite.

Vanderdrift holds an advanced degree from the University of California at Berkeley. He will be based in Iris' San Francisco office.
