Singapore-based investment research firm Ideaglobal has appointed Paul Thrush as chief operating officer (COO).
Thrush has over 25 years of trading, banking and business experience. He joins IdeaGlobal from Barclays Capital where he held the position of managing director and global head of foreign exchange for five years.
Prior to this Thrush spent two years at Bank of America where he was global head of foreign exchange and five years at UBS where he was managing director. He has also worked at Citibank and the Bank of Montreal.
In his new role, Thrush will be responsible for the management and development of Ideaglobal's business worldwide.
Thrush says he will focus developing new products and services for the credit markets and equities, as well as servicing the needs of buy-side firms.
He will report directly to Shandi Modi, chairman and CEO of Ideaglobal.
