Spanish bank Caja Madrid is implementing Smartstream's TLM Financial Messaging package as part of its inhouse migration to SwiftNet.
The system will form a component of the bank's in-house SwiftNet platform, which replaces its existing legacy Merva SwiftFin Gateway system.
Manuel Cobo Barroso, general sub-director, operations area director, Caja Madrid, says SmartStream was chosen due to the TLM's ability to plug into the bank's existing infrastructure of without any changes to the core applications.
"In addition, a code free environment gives us complete user configurability, enabling us to manage changes to the solution, which is fundamental as we hope to use this new technology for much wider and complex financial transaction management workflows in the near future," says Barroso.
