Deutsche Borse growth market NeuerMarkt is to launch an Internet-based investment portal for private shareholders in the first quarter of 2001.
The new Internet platform - neuermarkt.com - will aim to connect investors directly with their online banks and brokers for straight-through processing of electronic orders, says the company. It will also offer integrated information on international capital markets, aligning broker research with online analytics and decision-making tools.
Users will be able to access research from Reuters/Multex joint venture, Multex Investor Europe, a joint venture between Reuters and Multex. The site will be marketed to European investors as a neutral information portal offering a sectoral breakdown of market information.
For issuing companies, neuermarkt.com plans to operate as an information broker, helping companies to meet their reporting obligations and optimise their investor relations activities.
