The Leeds & Holbeck Building Society has formed an e-commerce team to develop Web site applications and explore electronic marketing opportunities.
Headed by newly appointed e-commerce manager Ross Hewitt, the team plan to redesign the Society's current Web site by the end of the year, improving navigation and implementing new services - including online savings accounts, financial planning services and a B2B area.
The team will also develop e-mail and mobile messaging services for customers.
Hewitt says: "The improvements will work alongside our branch network, call centre, postal department and broker network to give our customers 24-hour-a-day access to the Society and their accounts."
