Belgium-based banking group KBC has signed a multi-year agreement for Fame Information Services' data consolidation and cleansing software, ReferencePoint.
At KBC, the software combines reference and historical market data from multiple sources, including Reuters and Bloomberg Data License, and cleanses it using standard routines - some of which were customised to the bank's requirements.
The product then automatically feeds cleansed data into multiple internal systems.
John Wallis, head of European sales, Fame, says: "ReferencePoint is a complete solution for creating a cleaned, validated, 'golden copy' data set for an organisation or business function."
The KBC implementation was undertaken as a fixed-price, fixed-delivery date agreement.
