The interactive system, called Z.stream, provides brokers with online access to the full policy processing cycle, from delivering quotes through to printing documents.

The firm is also using the Sunrise Exchange (the Web-based successor to Unilink) as the platform for the electronic distribution and management of products to brokers.

Anthony Day, general manager, general insurance, says: "For the first time brokers are able to complete full cycle policy processing for a business insurance product completely via the Web - from quote to completion - and that includes producing the certificate of currency."

He adds that the delivery system will help deliver consistent pricing and underwriting to brokers and clients and will enable Zurich to launch other full-cycle products during 2003 and beyond.

Z.stream was implemented by a team from Sales Technologies (SalesTech), Selectica's distributor in Asia Pacific.
