The first phase of the partnership involved the integration of Chrysalis-ITS' Luna CA3 and Luna SA hardware security modules (HSMs) with Webpay's Access Control Server (ACS) software.

The companies have also announced plans to port the Webpay software directly onto the Chrysalis-ITS Ultimate Trust Solution Platform (UTSP) to deliver an easy to deploy commoditised payment authentication appliance for card issuing banks and payments processors.

Aaron Bartrim, CEO, Webpay, says: "This combination is ideally suited to protect sensitive encryption keys, and accelerate the high volume of cryptographic operations that occur in secure electronic payments."

He adds that the companies will also develop and release an ACS bundle that delivers the flexibility of the Webpay solution and the high security of Chrysalis-ITS secure server hardware in a low cost appliance for online payment authentication.
