Under the agreement, Fidelity will offer detailed quotes, watch lists and market indices through the finance category of the Nextel Online Wireless Internet Services. Investors will also be able to access real-time stock quotes, account balances and positions, wireless trading, order maintenance, alerts and portfolio summaries via any Nextel Internet-capable phone, the company says.

Earlier this year, Fidelity offered retirement account access to about one million investors via certain Web phones, two-way pagers and handheld computers. The company's proprietary wireless technology is currently available via handheld computers, one- and two-way pagers, Web phones and e-mail.
