Vha Yu Technologies, a provider of data capture, storage and analytics for the financial services industry, has raised $6.5 million in a Series B round of funding led by California's Menlo Ventures and other accredited investors.

The cash will be used to develop and broaden Vha Yu's SUReTick solutions portfolio and expand its sales and marketing initiatives.

Tejpal Chadha, co-founder and CEO, Vha Yu, says: "With this new round of funding, we’re well positioned to scale our sales, service, development, marketing and alliance programmes."

Building on the funding, Vha Yu has hired Gary Manton as director of sales and marketing.

Manton was most recently vice president of sales and marketing at Visualize. Prior to this he served as a southwest regional technical solutions architect at business intelligence firm Cognos and has also wirked at SAS Institute in North Carolina as marketing analyst for finance solutions.
