UK conferencing firm MeetingZone has launched MeetingZone Glance and MeetingZone Presenter, two Web conferencing services that allow multiple users to share data on PC screens and deliver slide presentations over the Internet.
Aimed at financial services firms, the products allow users to share data over the Web whilst in an audio conference.
MeetingZone Glance enables users to share information on screen in real time over the Net. After logging on to the system, users can direct participants to a Web conferencing site where the content of their screen can be seen. A PIN code is generated for each session so only authorised participants can gain access to the site.
The MeetingZone Presenter application allows users to upload slide presentations to a personalised Web site. The system then forwards the URL to all participants, along with a PIN code. Participants then dial into a conventional audio conference and log on to the site to see the presentation.
Tim Duffy, CEO of MeetingZone, says the service was developed with financial sector applications such as sales presentations, M&A negotiations or AGMs in mind.
"Anybody with a standard Web browser and a phone can take part in such a presentation - without having to install software or change settings on their computer," says Duffy.
