Former Reuters man John Parcell has joined online information start-up Investhink as a non-executive director
Parcell, 54, was until recently the chief executive of Reuters’ Information division, the UK media group’s largest business, running all its news-gathering and information services. As an Investhink non-executive, Parcell will be on call to advise on the development of business strategy and marketing to data suppliers and financial institutions.
Parcell is the latest in a spate of recent appointments at Investhink, including Richard Goodwin, the former head of IT at hemscott.net, Rafah Hanna, who joined in September from Primark, and John Farrelly, one-time director of institutional sales for market data firm CQG.
Investhink has developed its own software for delivering tailored information feeds to institutions. Andrew Delaney, CEO at Investhink, says the company is currently building its first prototype packages for an institutional client. The firm is backed by Sigma Technology Group, the specialist technology advisory and funding house quoted on London’s AIM market.
