Financial services group Aviva is to deploy Sophos's anti-virus software to protect its UK network of 35,000 desktop computers.
Sophos says that Aviva has also implemented a global framework, allowing its international sites to switch to its anti virus software in the future.
Aviva says it chose Sophos Anti Virus following the successful deployment of the software at its subsidiary operation Norwich Union in 1999, where the number of viruses repelled increased from 250 a year to over 2500 a month.
