Sweden's ForeningsSparbanken (Swedbank) has licensed technology from Autonomy to speed up the search and delivery of documents to 14,000 employees over the bank's corporate intranet.
Employees at branches across Scandinavia will be able to use the technology to access corporate news and information from both external and internal sources. Related documents are delivered via the intranet with automatically created hyperlinks.
Lennart Lundgren, manager, intranet and Internet, says: "By integrating Autonomy's technology into our upgraded intranet, Swedbank employees have immediate access to the business critical information they need to get their jobs done more efficiently."
Autonomy's Intelligent Data Operating Layer (Idol) integrates information from multiple repositories. The software can process text, voice and video information in any language and identify and rank main concepts. It then automatically categorises, links, summarises, personalises and delivers the information.
