Legal & General revamps IFA Extranet

UK financial services company Legal & General has added a marketing support area and a mortgage service to its IFA (independent financial adviser) extranet.

The marketing support area provides ideas for product campaigns, presentations and information on the company's recently launched IFA Marketing Guide.

Another new link enables IFAs to join the company's Mortgage Club to access mortgage deals negotiated by Legal & General with leading UK lenders.

The site also allows all IFAs to access general information and product literature without logging on. Registered IFAs will only have to sign in when accessing client-specific information, such as fund values and case tracking, or undertaking transactions with the company.

Graham Newitt, protection and housing director, says: "We have used the experience we have gained over the last five years of e-enabling aspects of our IFA service to concentrate on what IFAs want from an extranet."

The extranet was launched in 1997 and now has 14,000 registered users. The site provides registered IFAs online access to term assurance, ISAs, new business tracking, policy enquiries, valuations and quotation systems including protection choices and pension transfers.
