Belgian banking systems house FinancE Technology has appointed Olivier Meyer to spearhead the company's move into the UK market.
Founded in 1991, as a spin-off from Banque Degroof, FinancE Technology offers a modular global banking system that caters for retail, private, investment and corporate banking. Customers include Coutts, NatWest Offshore, Royal Bank of Scotland, ABN Amro, and Citibank Belgium.
An alumni of London Business School, Meyer joins from Wave Solutions, the IT consulting arm of HVB Group. While at Wave Solutions, Meyer was instrumental in a number of high profile banking mergers, system implementations and IT migrations, These included the merger of Poland’s two largest banks, a number of euro compliance projects in central Europe, as well as the merger of HVB/BACA in Hungary.
He has been appointed with a brief to grow the company’s sales in the UK onshore and commonwealth offshore banking markets.
