EFunds head Walsh raids former employer Clareon for senior technology staffers

US payments software vendor eFunds Corporation has appointed Clyde Thomas and Kathleen Flanagan as senior vice president of technology and senior vice president of global operations respectively. Both have been recruited from Clareon Corporation, the former employer of eFunds' new chairman and CEO Paul Walsh.
At Clareon, Clyde Thomas was chief technology officer. His previous roles include senior vice president and chief information officer for Wright Express, director of product development and computer operations for a division of American Airlines and business systems analyst and point-of-sale project manager for Gulf Oil Corporation.
He is joined at eFunds by Clareon chief operations officer Kathleen Flanagan.
She has previously held positions as senior vice president of client operations for Wright Express, vice president of sales and marketing for Portland Glass and retail manager of the Open Country division of Melville Corporation.
Thomas and Flanagan will assume the responsibilities managed by executive vice president, global operations and delivery, Paul Finch, who will leave the company at the end of the year.
