The solution was tested at Sun's SAN Verification Lab in Broomfield, Colorado and eliminates the need to re-boot applications or operate manual restore procedures.

Sun will provide Enterprise Continuity through technology including the Sun UltraSPARC processor-based servers, Sun StorEdge Open San Architecture and SunPlex clustering technology, supported by the Nortel Networks OPTera 5200 Multiserve Platforms, dark fibre and optical technologies.

Nortel Networks has joined the Sun Services Sun Vendor Integration Program (SunVIP) to support clustered, long-distance SAN solutions.
