Trema launches cash management module

Treasury technology firm Trema has launched a new corporate cash management module (CMM) as part of its flagship package Finance Kit.

CMM enables multinational companies to restructure and streamline their banking relationships by implementing either centralised or decentralised cash management operations, says the vendor.

The module follows a payment factory approach to deliver straight-through processing of all payments and collections between the business units, the treasury and external banks.

The application also allows the central treasury to operate as an in-house bank and has cash positioning and cashflow forecasting which provides a real-time view of daily flows and available balances. Remote users can access the module via a Web browser.

Robert Wennerström, director, corporate sales, Trema, says the module will allow firms to reduce transaction and interest costs.

"CMM also provides better working capital management by streamlining processes and providing a clear picture of global positions," adds Wennerström.

Trema says the system is currently being implemented by two global corporations.
