Hamburgische Landesbank has selected Vasco's Digipass authentication technology to safeguard online customer transactions.
The German bank is to issue Vasco's credit card-sized Digipass tokens to its Internet banking customers. To access their accounts and conduct online transactions, customers activate their Digipass token and enter a personal PIN.
The contract follows the implementation at Hamburgische Landesbank of an Internet banking platform supplied by local vendor Netlife, which includes the Digipass software as an integrated component.
