Reuters has appointed Leslie Macartney as chief information security officer, responsible for defining and implementing global information security policies and procedures across the enterprise.
In her new role, Macartney will lead the planning and supervision of Reuters' global computer and network information security systems.
Macartney joins the company from Aviva where she was head of group information security. She was previously an information security consultant for KPMG.
Based in London, Macartney will report to director of information technology services and security Martin Vickery and recently-appointed CIO Greg Meekings.
