Diebold Europe has launched Agilis Power, a software platform that allows banks to introduce new applications to ATM networks running machines from multiple vendors.
Agilis Power employs Microsoft Windows and .NET framework technology allowing Diebold to use common software components across multiple systems and devices. The solution is built on an INvolve middleware platform from Nexus Software.
Danny O'Brien, senior vice president, global product development and engineering, Diebold, says the system's custom applications provide the flexibility needed in order to add enhanced features and Web capabilities to ATMs.
Agilis Power is the result of a three-year research programme and the first customer installation is expected to take place before the end of of the year.
