MasterCard International has followed fellow card scheme Visa in suing the Reserve Bank of Australia over its proposals to cut credit card interchange fees.
MasterCard says the RBA's proposed reforms will damage its business in Australia and fail to meet the public interest test. Like Visa it is asking the Federal Court to rule against the changes.
