UK based regulatory and compliance software provider STB Systems has appointed Alan Railton as general manager of its Asia Pacific office and Larry Ostrow as VP of business development at its US subsidiary company.
In his new role, Railton will be responsible for STB's new Singapore office, supporting the South Asia region, as well as taking charge of the vendor's established business in Hong Kong.
Railton has 30 years experience in the Asia-Pacific region with companies such as HSBC, Quotient and ACT Banking Systems, Devon Systems and Cognotec.
Ostrow has previously held senior sales and marketing positions at CBS, Peoples Lottery Foundation, BankServ and Thales Contact Solutions.
In his new post he will focus on developing regulatory and legislated anti-money laundering solutions that meet the demands of the USA Patriot Act for financial institutions.
The new appointees will report directly to group CEO Michael Thomas, joining Mark Piper, who has been given wider responsibility in London as manager of business development for the Europe, Middle East and Africa region.
