Level Four, a UK-based developer of ATM test and development software, has signed a co-marketing agreement with global payments and EFT vendor ACI Worldwide.
Level Four's software is designed to aid banks deploying new content and applications across their ATM delivery channels - particularly for clients upgrading their ATM networks to achieve chip-based EMV compliance. Under the agreement, ACI will promote Level Four's ATM tools to its European client base.
Level Four's software already supports Base24 - ACI's transaction processing and switching system - enabling banks to test high volumes of both magnetic stripe and EMV smart card transactions. For EMV compliance, banks deploying Level Four's EMV FastTrack component on Base24 can simulate full end-to-end transaction testing directly from the smart card, through the ATM and up to the host system, says the vendor.
The two companies say they are also working together to provide tools to assist in the migration of ACI customers to emerging standards in the ATM industry. This includes DMG/XML, a new standard being introduced that will enable ATM machines to communicate with the host system in XML.
ACI says it will offer customers the opportunity to adopt the new standard to ensure that they are forward compliant and will work with Level Four to provide effective tools for migration.
Martin Macmillan, CEO, Level Four says the relationship "opens up a big opportunity...to build awareness of our solutions in EMEA and beyond".
