CMC provides FIX connectivity for Susquehanna International

Securities firm Susquehanna International Group (SIG) has chosen Capital Markets Consulting (CMC) FIX gateway technology to connect to Eurex, Liffe, Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) and Xetra.

The CMC FIX to Exchange gateways translate FIX order instructions to the proprietary application programming interfaces used to send orders to various exchanges.

Tayloe Draughon, partner of the Chicago based firm, notes: "Our order routing gateway products standardise the way trading firms send orders into exchanges. The FIX protocol is used to communicate with the gateway, which translates the message into the correct exchange API. For trading firms using the FIX protocol, this is the quickest way to gain access to the non-FIX exchanges."

Hylton Socher, Susquehanna's CIO, says: "Using CMC's FIX to Exchange gateways allows us to easily connect to various global execution venues and meet aggressive project deadlines as we extend our electronic trading platform."
