Lynx Financial Systems has partnered Web site developer Evolving Media to develop a new online mortgage application and banking system for smaller UK building societies.
The new Empower solution combines Lynx's Interact banking engine with Web integration technology from Evolving Media to provide small and medium-sized building societies with Internet banking services, say the companies.
Future developments of the product include the delivery of interactive financial services to WAP/3G enabled mobile devices.
David Webber, managing director of Lynx Financial Systems comments: "The Internet undoubtedly offers many opportunities for building societies and I believe that our Empower solution now brings an Internet offering within the financial reach of all societies regardless of their size."
Evolving Media has developed Web sites for a number of building societies, including Market Harborough Building Society.
