AXA France Assurance has implemented the Ariba Buyer enterprise expense management system to more than 2000 users in France.
The Ariba solution has been used to establish direct links via the Web with AXA's suppliers and will involve 100 global agreements, 560 suppliers and 100 catalogues.
Catherine Aragon, vice-president of procurement, AXA France Assurance says the implementation has enabled the company to fulfill two key objectives: "The group of companies can order online based on terms established in globally negotiated contracts and we can create reliable reports detailing who is buying a particular product in a specific location."
The company is currently reviewing the possibility of implementing the solution throughout the insurance group, she adds.
