Helsinki Stock Exchange (HEX) and the Swedish central securities depository VPC are implementing a direct link for cross border settlement of Finnish and foreign equities.
The link, scheduled to go live on Monday 3 June, will ensure barrier-free cross-border portfolio management by streamlining the transaction chain, say the two firms. It will enable foreign securities to be cleared, settled and book-entered in Finnish systems, using Swift messaging.
Similar links already exist between HEX and the German, French and Dutch central securities depositories.
