AlphaTrade launches electronic trading platform

Streaming market data provider AlphaTrade.com has launched a new Web-based trading platform, TP-1.

The new trading platform will provide any brokerage firm or financial institution with a professional trading interface in less than seven days from the time of the order, says the company. The platform will be fully integrated with the broker's existing back office.

Features of TP-1 include direct access to NYSE, Amex and the major ECNs including Island, Arca, Instinet, Bloomberg Tradebook; Level II point and click trading; real-time profit and loss of positions and of the account; real-time risk management checking prior to order-entry; real-time risk monitoring by the broker-dealer; 100 per cent Web-based report for history of trades; and Oats reporting on behalf of the broker-dealer.

Gordon Muir, CEO of AlphaTrade, says: "For the broker-dealer and the institutional clients, AlphaTrade's new trading platform eliminates the need for in-house tech support, for equipment installation and curtails the large up-front costs normally associated with adding trade execution capabilities."
