Electronic trading platform BrokerTec Europe has appointed Garry Jones as CEO and president. Jones has been serving as acting head of the company since the resignation of CEO and president Lee Olesky in March.
In his new permanent position, Jones will continue to oversee BrokerTec's European operations as well as all sales and marketing activities, products and customer relationships.
Hal Hinkle, CEO and president of BrokerTec Global, comments: "In the past few months, under Garry's guidance as interim CEO, BrokerTec Europe has shown significant progress in both trading volumes and product offerings."
Jones was previously director of sales and marketing for BrokerTec Europe. He has also worked for Daiwa Securities and Paribas.
