Under the terms of the letter, RNS will be used by the ISE to distribute all regulatory news announcements from the Irish Stock Exchange.

James Ferguson, the Irish Stock Exchange's operations manager, says: "RNS has many years of experience of distributing regulatory information and we know that they will provide a secure, reliable and comprehensive service."

Last month, the Financial Services Authority approved four new primary information providers (PIP) to begin disseminating regulatory news for listed companies in direct competition to RNS in a bid to end the London Stock Exchange's monopoly on company announcements.
