London-based securities software house Proquote has appointed former Thomson Financial executive Dianne Urquhart as director of sales and business development.
Urquhart will be responsible for expanding the company's client base as Proquote steers towards its planned AIM flotation later this year.
She previously was European retail sales director of Thomson Financial Solutions, and has also held positions with Primark & ICV Topic and the London Stock Exchange.
Proquote is currently rolling out its new Internet-based stockbroker dealing screen, including polling RSP connectivity to major market makers. The system is designed to operate over a standard Internet connection as well as direct private circuit and is not location dependent. To date 28 corporate customers have signed up to use the new system.
Chris Potts, director of market making at Winterflood Securities - an early subscriber of Proquote - says, “Proquote is an excellent system which is user friendly and highly reliable . It offers similar 'level 2' information that other professional dealing systems provide, but at a significantly reduced cost."
