Misys wins three Market Trader Asia Pacific contracts

Misys Securities Trading Systems, the new Misys subsidiary created through the recent reorganisation in the Banking and Securities division of the company, has signed three new contracts in the Asia Pacific region for its Market Trader platform.

Among the deals are two new customers, Hoenig (Far East), the specialist soft dollar agency broker, who will install the securities trading platform to support its regional operations based in Hong Kong, and Maeda Securities Co, a domestic retail and institutional broker in Japan.

Robin Green, managing director of Hoenig (Far East) Ltd, comments: "It was...a prerequisite that the system not only provided us with an AMS/3 engine for Hong Kong, but also the ability to have access to markets in Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Australia and Singapore."

Hoenig (Far East) Limited will be fully live for all markets in May 2002. The system will be installed on a SUN Solaris operating system, with Windows NT front end and a Sybase database.
